MPower teams with Ampyr to accelerate mid-scale solar strategy
MPower, a Sydney-based renewable energy developer, has secured the first $10 million in funding from Ampyr Energy, a Singaporean investment firm. This supports the construction of a 5 MW solar project in Narromine, located in western New South Wales, as part of MPower's portfolio of mid-scale solar power and battery energy storage projects.
New England Solar project: Largest solar farm in NSW opens
The largest solar farm in NSW, the New England Solar project, was officially inaugurated last 16 March. This solar farm has nearly one million solar panels and will eventually produce 400MW of power.
NSW commits $1.5 billion in concessions for green hydrogen projects
The NSW Government invests $64 million in green hydrogen hubs for Illawarra and Moree regions, and opens up $1.5 billion in concessions for large-scale producers. This is in support of the state's plan to accelerate the development of a hydrogen industry, projected to attract more than $80 billion in private investment.
NSW paves way for 17 GW of renewables with declaration of final REZ
A huge renewable energy zone to be established on the New South Wales south coast has been formally declared, potentially unlocking more than 17 GW of solar, wind, battery storage, pumped hydro, hydrogen and new load projects, including green steel manufacturing.
